It's possible that the oring is leaking in between the head and the cylinder. Taking the head off isn't that hard if you know what you're doing, just follow the manual. The main issue is getting the camshafts back in time. You'll probably need a valve cover gasket, cylinder head gasket,  and the two orings. When the head is off is a good time for a valve job!

I have had issues with those oil passage o-rings from from aftermarket kits not being thick enough. Measure the head gasket thickness and the detent depth. Make sure the o-rings will be compressed.
After several attempts to fix a head gasket leak on a KZ305, thicker o-rings and copper head gasket spray finally did the trick.

I rode the bike again to triple check for leak location. The half moons and valve cover gaskets are completely dry all around as far as what is visible. The tach input area has no oil around it nor any wetness around it. Per attached video I see a slight bubbling in the two pockets in the cylinder head below the tach input, but dry between the tach input and this area. The rounded area at the front of the top of the head where the cam chain is shows wet on the head gasket. In spots the head gasket is a little wet on the left and right side of the engine as well as the cylinder block gasket. I'd like to be more certain by getting an opinion from someone experienced Kawy mechanic who can view this, but I would say at a minimum I need head and block gaskets as well as all the other that should be replaced when the engine is opened up. Thoughts?
